Discover Abstrakt Filipino Essence

When you're in Jacksonville Beach, FL, and craving a taste of Filipino flavors, Abstrakt Filipino Essence should be at the top of your list. Located at 1500 Beach Blvd #215, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250, this gem of a restaurant offers an experience that's both authentic and innovative. Combining traditional Filipino recipes with modern culinary techniques, Abstrakt creates dishes that are perfect for both adventurous eaters and those looking to revisit comforting home-cooked meals.

As you step into the restaurant, you are immediately greeted by a welcoming atmosphere. The interior is sleek yet inviting, designed to showcase the essence of Filipino culture while maintaining a contemporary touch. Whether you're dining with family, friends, or on a date, the ambiance of Abstrakt sets the stage for a memorable experience.

The menu at Abstrakt Filipino Essence is a beautiful reflection of the diverse flavors of the Philippines. For starters, you can try their crispy Lumpia, Filipino-style spring rolls filled with savory pork and vegetables. They're crispy on the outside, with a tender filling that bursts with flavor with every bite. Another popular dish is their Sinigang na Baboy, a pork sour soup made with tamarind and a medley of vegetables. It’s the perfect dish for those who enjoy a balance of savory and tangy flavors. Each dish is carefully crafted to offer a modern twist on these beloved Filipino classics.

The Adobo at Abstrakt is a must-try as well. While this dish is a staple in Filipino homes, Abstrakt elevates it by marinating the pork or chicken to perfection and slow-cooking it until it’s tender and full of flavor. The sauce is rich and savory, with just the right amount of tang to complement the meat. It’s served with steamed rice, making it a fulfilling and satisfying meal.

For those looking for something a bit more unique, try their Lechon Kawali. This crispy pork belly is cooked to perfection, with a golden, crunchy exterior and a juicy, tender interior. It's served with a flavorful dipping sauce that enhances its natural flavors. It’s no surprise that this dish is a crowd favorite and one that you’ll want to order every time you visit.

Abstrakt also offers a selection of desserts to end your meal on a sweet note. Their Halo-Halo, a Filipino dessert made with shaved ice, a variety of sweet fruits, beans, and leche flan, is the perfect way to cool down in the Florida heat. The combination of textures and flavors is refreshing and indulgent at the same time.

But what truly sets Abstrakt Filipino Essence apart is its commitment to using high-quality ingredients and crafting dishes that reflect the true flavors of the Philippines. The owners and chefs at Abstrakt are passionate about sharing their culture through food, and it shows in the care and attention put into every plate.

If you’re looking for a Filipino restaurant that’s not only authentic but also innovative, Abstrakt Filipino Essence is the place to be. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Filipino cuisine or someone who’s curious about trying something new, you’ll leave with your taste buds satisfied and your heart full.

  • The server was just so good! Happy, energetic, lovely and made us feel welcomed as well. I’m glad he had a smile on his face. It goes a long way. The adobo dusted chicken was too dry. Prolly cooked for longer than required but the flavoring was good. Just the inside wasn’t juicy enough and apart from the sauce sprinkled outside, it’d be nice if there was sauce on the side as well The special sisig bowl although expensive and not in the menu, was definitely tasty! We enjoyed it very much! The flavors, the way the meats were cooked was top notch! Absolutely recommended.

  • Has a nice homey vibe. The food has really on point with authentic Filipino taste, wifey says the food tastes just like the Philippines. They have awesome decorations and their menu’s are on iPads you can look at every dish and item they offer. They have happy hours on Friday & Saturday 3-6 if I remember correctly. Pretty dope place would recommend to anyone.

  • From the very first bite, Abstrakt Filipino Essence delivers a dining experience that feels both rooted in tradition and elevated with a modern, artistic touch. We kicked things off with lumpia… golden, delicate, and filled with flavor and the crispy Brussels sprouts, which were nothing short of addictive. The sprouts had that perfect balance of crunch and char, with a seasoning that made them shine as more than just a side dish. I could honestly go back and order just those with a cocktail and leave happy. The chicken pancit was next, and it was comfort in a bowl; savory, light, and satisfying in a way only pancit can be. Then came the showstopper: the Lenard Special. A plate that looked as gorgeous as it tasted just so juicy chicken tocino, rich pork belly sisig with that signature sizzle, all crowned with a fried egg resting over perfectly cooked rice. Every bite was a harmony of textures and flavors: sweet, savory, crispy, and rich. It’s the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-conversation just to savor what’s happening on your palate. Dessert was not an afterthought and wow was it was an encore. The ube cheesecake was stunning, both visually and in flavor, with its smooth creaminess and subtle nuttiness that only ube can bring. The crispy turon wrapped everything up with that perfect crunch on the outside and warm, caramelized sweetness inside. It was the definition of comfort and indulgence in one bite. Abstrakt isn’t just a restaurant, it’s an experience. It honors Filipino flavors while adding a refined twist, and it’s the kind of place that leaves you already planning your next visit before you’ve even left the table. If you’re looking for a spot that will surprise, delight, and feed your soul…. My lord this is it.

  • I’ve been here three times, and each time the food has been delicious, the staff has been so friendly, and I left full and happy! The Ube cheesecake is absolutely to die for. The portion sizes of the meals are large and seasoned to perfection. Matthew was our server today and he really seemed to love his job and the food they serve. Will absolutely be back!

  • We have really enjoyed coming here this summer. I tried one of their salads and now I cannot thinking about it (in video). We have really loved their protein options like the chicken and pork. Also, the portions are huge and so satisfying! I highly recommend the salad if you want a lighter option but with lots of flavor.

  • 10/10 recommend trying all the fantastic flavors. High quality fresh Filipino food all designed by an extraordinary chef with beautiful plating and flavors to die for. The roasted brussels are my all time fav but we got a variety of items to try and they were all incredible! We will drive from PCB to come back and satisfy the craving and visit with Chef JoJo and his crew.

  • Heard all the buzz about this place and finally checked it out — and wow, it totally lived up to the hype. We started with the lumpia, which was perfectly executed — crispy, flavorful, and honestly kind of addictive. My girlfriend got the chicken tocino and I had the chicken pancit — both were absolutely fantastic. Now let’s talk dessert: the ube cheesecake was visually stunning (seriously, I took like five pictures before eating it) and tasted even better. The waiter recommended we also try the cassava cake and—no regrets—that thing was insanely good. The whole experience just hit right. It’s a locally owned spot (which we love supporting), the owner was super friendly, and the prices were totally reasonable for the quality. Absolute gem of a restaurant. Can’t wait to come back and eat my way through the rest of the menu.
